Hi there,
I'm sure you will enjoy all of the fabulous creatives and their stories in this months edition. It certainly packs a punch !!
Oh and a wink too!! Read on …. -Sally and Henry
Creative Director & Advertising Ace
"I would like the industry to stop taking itself too seriously and start being a lot more entertaining. Advertising Is not a science. There are too many experts, on everything. Even within agencies there are experts with weird and wonderful titles and has any of this improved the product that is coming out of the agencies? No. Media placement is another missed opportunity, it’s all a bit predictable, no surprises. And seeing the same ad twice in a break really is unforgivable. Believe it or not, there was a time when people looked forward to seeing the ads, they had their favourites and they talked about them. Ads were funny, entertaining and if you liked the ad you liked the brand, you liked the product and you bought the product. I would like to see more creative thinking in all areas, I would like to see more campaigns that build brands. I would like to see more ads that I want to see again."
Recent work from our Creatives
Darbo is unique in terms of its advertising campaigns. In Austria the new campaigns are welcomed with excitement, people look forward to the new campaigns. The Darbo marketing department gets calls about the fashion, a dress, or shoes or a hat perhaps, worn by characters in the commercials. Friends have theme parties specifically based on a commercial and its style.
Director Tracey Rowe is proud that her ability to create highly stylised and detailed visuals is part of the success of the Brand and its product range. With a keen eye for a pretty girl wearing something fabulous, within a wondrous location, Tracey seems to effortlessly combine live action with CGI visual effects, creating a ‘fairytale’ type look that engages audiences with cheeky, often flirtatious narratives.
AdNews Cover of the YearWe were so thrilled that Adrian Elton's cover had been crowned the AdNews Cover of the Year.- The Cover of the Year is chosen by the most popular vote among AdNews readers.
In a year marked with many bumps along the way, it was clear that these hurdles were not a hindrance to creativity. Elton says creating the cover was an "unambiguous" career highlight.

Jessica Chloe Gernat strives to capture moments of beauty and curious happenings in the hope to share that same instance with a viewer. Her attention is captured by history, architecture, light, scale and the quiet spaces in-between. “Hurley Architects NZ recently completed 3 bespoke homes to suit each family’s unique lifestyle. We approached the capture of these projects on foot and in the air during our time on site - a wonderful team and excellent weather made the shoot day a dream! Beautiful textures and vistas, as well as unique design responses to the building's context on-site, has offered three very different experiences nearby."

Melbourne’s stage 4 lockdown has been extremely challenging for many Melbournians. I’m a huge dog lover at heart and a big believer in the role that pets can play in your life. Their enduring friendship and loyalty is so good for the soul, proven to improve mental health and mood, and just so many other wonderful things. I’m passionate about brightening up community spaces, creating art that people can enjoy, but also creating something with meaning that can actually improve the lives of the people who experience it. I designed and painted a mural that showcases my love for dogs and the incredible impact they can have in your life. My own dog was recently diagnosed with cancer and I’d just love to celebrate everything he is and everything
he’s contributed to our family - as all paw legged friends do for their owners! The mural created a unique experience for our neighbours to connect over the love of dogs. As well as strengthening community pride by spreading positivity during the challenging times of covid lockdown. And it has increased community engagement through beautifying our space.

It's wonderful to work with photographers like the lovely Celia Furt and help them with making sense of their work and selecting images. In addition to that, it's fabulous to see the collaboration with fellow TBE member Momento Pro to build the portfolio.
After my own redundancy and watching the decimation of our live event industry, I knew that staying still and silent in the face of such chaos wasn't an option for me. Together, with a like-minded friend, we quickly set to work turning our brainchild into reality, and thus Centre of Everywhere burst into life in answer to Melbourne's 2020 Lockdowns.
After our first year of operation, we now have the resources to collaborate with clients as a production agency offering live event services varying from reliable live stream equipment and technicians, to full event production from conception through to execution.
Centre of Everywhere's team is supported by 18 years of combined professional experience, spanning across all forms of entertainment including large-scale, domestic & international touring, festival, corporate, theatre and sporting events. Originally dedicated to re-energising Melbourne music scene through free, high quality, live-streamed music performances,
our mission committed us to support and inspire live music from up & coming Melbourne music talent. Following the fluid nature of the global pandemic and as the environment of live events has continued to change, Centre of Everywhere continues to pivot and morph our services and standards to ensure the highest quality production results.
