and Commerce at Conde Nast.
"I reflect on this a lot. In a world with so much content, with content creators - that term didn't even exist when I started. The need for authority, creativity, curation, and recommendation is stronger than ever. The deluge of content is overwhelming and due to algorithmic bias, it is incredibly repetitive. For views, we copy, for scale, we repeat. But there is beauty, a voice, and a need for true curation. This only comes from creativity and an intimate reflection of art rather than performance. Through all the noise of content curation, new voices, and new ideas are what shine through the most."
Recent work from our Creatives
"I’m very proud to be a part of the team that captured some memorable and engaging content for Berlei and their amazing products. I was the director of the talent on the shoot day, and the brief was energy, movement, authenticity, and of course to showcase the fabulous designs of the Berlei products in a day-to-day real way. I love working with other women, it’s mutual respect on set, being photographed and filmed in your underwear can be a daunting experience, but I think these films show that every woman is body confident and Berlei supports all of our uniqueness as women. It’s a brand positive attitude and these films really do
showcase that.”

ALICE SHAW | GRAPHIC DESIGNER
"Potato Utopia has launched in Australia with the goal to reimagine and disrupt the frozen potato category. These products are the result of high-quality innovation, at an affordable price. They wanted to highlight their use of premium ingredients in a fresh and eye-catching way, so they'd stand out from other brands in the freezer aisle. I was approached by Rev Studio to design the packaging, and overall brand look and feel.
Potato Utopia wanted to "respect the ingredients we choose and make them shine - make the ‘simple' products the heroes". So I
deconstructed the product, and I reassembled it - creating an abstract work of art from the elements. This imagery then took centre stage at the front of the pack. Surrounded by clean typography and dark, moody background, the design is bold, elegant, and playful, embracing the elevated experience of Potato Utopia products."
GALE STREET STUDIOS | PHOTOGRAPHY STUDIO HIRE
Life is Sweet at Gale Street Studios
"We’ve been having the sweetest of times at the studio the last few months, collaborating and hosting local talent, businesses, and industry creatives. Recently, GSS teamed up with Melbourne Photography and Red Balloon Candy to create some cute content for their brand featuring Pauline’s very own Zara Joy (featured in a photo with candy….possibly the best job mum has ever asked her to do). We’re keeping everyone sweet with our GSS branded candy! At GSS we like to keep it community-focused and support our creatives in the best way we can. We like to think that we are hosting our creatives to produce their content in a
functional studio that enables their creative juices to flow at great rates and with good vibes.
We wouldn’t be a creative industry-focused studio if we didn’t support our creatives with a sponsorship program. It was a pleasure sponsoring the Women of Soul Collective recently, using the studio to snap up their next round of sassy promo. Thanks for the intro Sal :) If you haven’t already, pop in and say hello or drop us a line to see if your project is a good fit for the space"

Have you heard of Adobes InCopy before? No?
"Great, then I have some very exciting news for you if you're a designer, typesetter, editor or writer of words. InCopy is part of the Adobe Creative Cloud suite and is an editorial interface for InDesign documents. While designers use InDesign to layout documents, the editorial team can use InCopy to edit the text in that exact same document. Say goodbye to the double handling of marked-up PDFs and the endless rounds of corrections. With an InCopy workflow, designers are designing and editors are editing, in the same space, at the same time. If implemented correctly an InCopy-led workflow can reduce a project's turnaround by 50% -
no jokes.
Please check out the tutorial that is used to onboard both editors and designers and see for yourself how powerful this quiet and often dismissed little Adobe program can be. "
LEE HERBET | CINEMATOGRAPHER
I Bought a Tesla with my Apple Watch
"Lee Herbet is not a ‘car’ guy. But he is a tech person and has a keen interest in the fields of renewable energy and water conservation. So when he got an electric car, he decided to spend some of his rare spare time while running his production company Capture.ink, to start a YouTube channel explaining electric cars in a way even his mum could understand."
BAILEY COOK | VIDEO PRODUCER
"Sally is a breath of fresh air when it comes to recruitment! She has a genuine interest in not only finding 'a' job for her clients but the 'right' job. I was not exactly sure what I was looking for at the time and with her career coaching and guidance I discovered what my next career move needed to be, and she delivered with the perfect role"
IMOGEN TURNBULL | ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE
"Sally and I first met via zoom through a university lecture program. I distinctly remember her as she was kind and nurturing and really wanted us to thrive in our chosen fields. 2 years later when Sally contacted me, I was a bit surprised that she remembered me, I remembered her as a confident and insightful “connector”. Within 48 hours of our discussion on a potential job she had me in mind for, I had an interview and soon was offered a job as Account Executive at eg+. The job combines my previous jobs in a more serious manner and since joining the team I have been able to learn and observe so much more than what I thought I would. I am constantly surrounded by knowledge and expertise in my field, and I am forever grateful to Sally for making that happen!"

"Clare is a young photographer, born in Adelaide and now residing in Melbourne. They have a bachelor's degree in Economics and are finishing their Cert IV in Photography and Digital Imaging at RMIT. They love photography and their personal work focuses mostly on documentary, fine art and fashion. Confident with a camera, Clare has good communication skills and is looking to learn more about photography and the industry through assisting roles."
WHAT'S SOMETHING ABOUT YOURSELF THAT WOULD SURPRISE US?
"Well, I’m the youngest of 8 and my mother is the last surviving sibling of 14 (middle child). My father was one of 10… There are a lot of creative people in my family. I consider myself to be one. I love using my hands - obviously, photography is my first love and I feel very fortunate to work every day doing something I love. I’m also an artist and a potterer. I have been learning the violin but I’m pretty shit at it! I have learned 2 languages having lived overseas - Dutch and Swedish. I have aspirations to travel and write/photograph a cookbook - maybe a dutch one because who ever heard of dutch cuisine ... I am also planning to write a book based on a photographer I
have met who has an incredible story to tell (but can’t tell you more than that - I haven’t asked him yet!). My greatest achievement of all is my 3 children - 100% the best thing I ever did! Family is everything … That’s me in a ’nutshell’ - and I am a bit nutty too."

At the CCP:
Andrew Quilty - August in Kabul
Andrew Quilty | @andrewquilty will join the Centre for Contemporary Photography (CCP) | @ccp_australia on September 11th 2-3pm for an afternoon of conversation about Quilty’s first-hand account of Kabul as the city fell around this time just last year.
Join Quilty and CCP Director Daniel Boetker-Smith to touch on the stories of the people of Kabul, centering on photography as the way in which these stories are communicated globally. Quilty will be signing copies of August in Kabul after the Q&A concludes.
"This event is pay-to-attend, with two price points available: $10 gets your attendance to the Q&A launch, whereas $40 gets you a copy of the book to collect at the beginning of the event, as well as attendance at the Q&A launch. The book, August in Kabul, is $34.99, so our audience can save by buying the ticket and booking together."
